Since Russia’s unprovoked, full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24th, countless individuals have worked tirelessly on numerous fronts and have dedicated tremendous resources to support the fight of Ukrainians for their sovereignty and survival. The Ukrainian Institute of America salutes these individuals and organizations for their devotion and commitment.
Over the past seven months, the Institute has truly become Where the World Meets Ukraine, serving as a hub of information, a center of continuous activity and a beacon of cultural promotion. We have steadfastly supported the efforts of those who assist Ukrainians impacted by the war. Through countless programs and partnerships, we have advanced our mission of showcasing the very best of Ukrainian culture and heritage for the world. We have worked closely with our friends in the diplomatic corps to welcome numerous dignitaries from around the world to our beautiful home on NYC’s Museum Mile, giving them a glimpse into the riches of Ukrainian culture and the many achievements of Ukrainian people. And we have hosted Ukrainians from all walks of life, so that they may experience the power and hospitality of our diaspora.
